Gold Research Task
Outcome: CCS3.1 Explains the significance of particular people, groups, places, actions and events in the past in developing Australian identities and heritage.
Task: You must choose a specific group of people, or person from the Gold Rush era to research (See GUIDED INQUIRY BIG QUESTION below)
Using a variety of source material (books, images and websites), to complete this inquiry task by using a workflow of Apps to research, collect, organise and present information on your topic.
You can choose from the following people for your inquiry:
Diggers, Troopers, Chinese diggers, Women and Children, Aboriginal people, Bushrangers - Consider how they arrived at the goldfields, what life was like for them and how their life was changed because of the Gold Rush?
Inquiry model of learningInquiry allows the learner to be involved to develop their own understandings. This allows for the learner to use skills and attitudes to seek appropriate resolutions (answers?) to questions and issues while constructing new knowledge and deeper understanding.
Many inquires are built around a shared, essential big question. Within this students are given opportunities to explore questions of their own.
